  • Weddings are supposed to be a celebration of love, surrounded by your friends and family who love you very much. What is a celebration of love without your favorite people seeing you off to a new chapter in your life? For many women, weddings are a way to bring themselves even closer to their friends. Doing the traditional bridesmaids' things, going dress shopping; your friends should, dare I say, even be more excited than you. After all, you are about to embark on a journey into the unknown disappointments and successes that are included in married life. We can only hope we keep it together until the end of the ceremony without our makeup budging.

    The woman in this story is not so lucky. Her friends have seemingly always refuted her successes and needs, mostly keeping to each other and isolating the OP. The friends don't care to meet her soon-to-be-husband (with no real reason why, they just don't). If they agree to a meeting, they cancel last minute and leave OP feeling useless. They didn't even respond to OP's request to be her bridesmaids, and even requested a better hotel to stay in for the wedding as the original one, they deemed, was not up to par. Overall, it's clear that this woman is making the right decision keeping people who don't care about her away from her new chapter of life. Thankfully, she has an amazing support system in real life and in her comment section. Leave it to the ladies to make a woman feel all the love.

    Last year i met the absolute love of my life. He is in the army which required me to move away, but i come home atleast once a month to see friends and family. He has been amazing and has been there for me throughout everything. He popped the question!     shut down and decided not to come. Which i wouldnt mind if t was due to money because thats understandable, but they are out all weekend drinking. -would put off booking a room or sorting a way of getting there which was very stressful as they were the last ones needing to be accompanied for.

You will make new friends at work or social activities and until then you have the support of your family. Uninvite them, block them from everything so you don't have to read their comebacks, and have a great wedding with your family who love you.

They don't support you getting married or even being involved with someone, otherwise they would have nice things to say or would have happily met your fiancé. It's time to let them go.     emr830 21 hr. ago These girls are not your friends anymore, if they ever were. I'm going to guess they haven't been lucky in love and some of this is jealousy. Or you've outgrown them. Or both. I know it but try to let them go. They don't deserve your friendship. Focus on your fiancé, wedding, and ultimate marriage. Have an awesome wedding with people you love, and who love you back.
